Congratulations to the 23-24 Football Homecoming Court ❤️🎉
This summer, Balko Junior Cadence Vaughn participated in the Drum Corps International world championships—a national tour of the world's premier marching music ensembles—participating with the Seattle Cascades Drum and Bugle Corps. During world championship week at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Cadence was awarded the MVP award for percussion as part of her exemplary performance throughout the season, which saw her corps place top-25 in the world, and her percussion section place comfortably within the top-20 worldwide. Congratulations to Cadence on a successful 2023 season.
Tuesday, 8/29 - JH & Elem Fb practice at Balko until 4:45.
Wednesday, 8/30 - JH FB practice at Forgan. Return to Balko around 5:30.
Thursday, 8/31 - JH & Elem Fb practice at Forgan. Elementary will leave right after school. Return to Balko around 5:30.
We will have a helicopter delivering the game ball around 6:40-45 on Friday night before the football game. We will have ceremony in memory of Cody Frantz right after the ball is delivered.
On Friday, August 25th PK-6th grade will be attending the Beaver County Fair. There will 30+ bouncy houses some will have water slides. Please send your child to school with water play appropriate clothing. We will leave Balko School at 12:30 and return around 3 pm. Bus routes will run usual times.
We will have 5th - 6th grade football practice after school with Forgan, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
Monday and Tuesday will be at Balko, we will be done with practice around 4:15-4:30
Thursday will be at Forgan, the kids will be bused over to Forgan after school and will return around 5:15!
