Those forms are labeled * OSSAA Eligibility form 1 * OSSAA Eligibility form 2 Each student should have all sections of the RankOne forms completed (each section will be green when approved) before they will be allowed to compete. The website is www.Rankone.com. Once at this site, you will be instructed to sign in – You can either create an account, or use one of the options listed to sign up to get your students’ forms completed. Once logged in, you will be required to have your Student’s ID number. If you do not have that information, it is located within your student’s gradebook system. After 35 years in education, including 23 years at Balko School, we are celebrating the retirement of Mrs. Edwards. She made learning unforgettable for generations of students. From crime scenes and bell ringers to boat races and dissections, her classroom was always filled with hands-on learning, excitement, and memories students will carry with them forever. Mrs. Edwards touched countless lives through her passion for teaching and dedication to her students. While we will miss her greatly at school, we are excited for her next chapter as she joins her family-owned business, Crossroads Mercantile and Feed. We wish her a wonderful retirement filled with happiness, success, and time with family. Thank you, Mrs. Edwards, for everything you have done for Balko School!

In celebration of America’s 250th birthday, our 4th–6th grade students have been researching important Pre-Revolutionary War figures who helped shape our nation’s history. We would like to invite the community to come experience their hard work at our Living Wax Museum! Students will be dressed as historical figures and will bring history to life by sharing what they have learned. We hope you will join us for this special event and support our students as they step back in time to honor the people who helped pave the way for America’s independence!

Yesterday our First and Second graders took a fun field trip to the Baker Arts Center in Liberal! The students had a great time exploring, especially all the beautiful butterflies, and enjoyed the different activities throughout the center. It was a day full of curiosity, creativity, and lots of smiles! We’re so glad they had this opportunity to learn outside the classroom!
